55. In addition to the normal practice in recovering storage charges on package basis, storage space is also provided on 'Area Basis'. The rates are as follows ( Monthly Tariff per sq.ft )

56. Storage charges for the Godowns occupied on Management Basis :

Storage charges per Rs.16-10 per MT ( Excluding Insurance charges ) For Management godowns on reservation basis

NOTE:

 1.      A ‘Standard bag’ is defined as a bag of foodgrains weighing one quintal and measuring 3’x 2’x1’.

 2.      Bag equivalent means the ratio of the number of standard bags which can be accommodated in 100 sq. ft. area to the number of bags, packages of a particular commodity which can be accommodated in the same area.

 3.      Where the rates are exclusive of insurance/indemnification charges, an advolorum sur-charges will be realized @ 5Ps. per 100 Rs. value month or part there of.

  4.      The weight of unit/package is the maximum net weight of the unit/package.  Where different weights of packages of the same commodity are indicated (eg.rice) units of weight ranging between the two shall be charged at the applicable to the package of higher weight.

 5.      Where the rate is indicated for 100 kgs i.e., in case of chillies, tamarind (seedless), etc., a package weighing 10 kgs. or part thereof shall be charged on the basis of rate for 10 kg.

 6.      Rates are more if permissible stack height which has been fixed by the Corporation taking into consideration load factor and requirement of proper storage, preservation and stacking, is restricted.

 7.      Commodities deposited in bulk, agricultural implements.  Iron and Steel material i.e.,pipes sheets, etc., paper and other such goods which do not have a uniform package or received without packaging shall be accepted for storage on area rates subject to load bearing capacity of the floor of 0.33 MT Sq.ft.

 8.      In case packages of different dimensions and weight occupying more storage space having higher bag equivalent are in storage or are received for storage, the rates indicated in this tariff would not be applicable.  In such cases proforma details should  be furnished for fixation of storage charges.

 9.      Where special arrangements have been entered into with bulk depositors, rates agreed to will be applicable.

 10.  The Warehouse function in this Corporation as on 01.03.2001 are classified into the following  categories for the purpose of claiming of storage charges.
